Summary

Important Safety Instructions

Codes & Regulations

Pre-Installation Considerations

System Matches

The entire system must be manufacturer approved and AHRI listed. Unmatched systems will void the product warranty.

Clearances

Installation Location

Horizontal Right Installation

Refrigerant Lines

Tubing Preparation

Ensure cut ends are round, burr-free, and clean. Use quenching cloth when brazing to prevent scorching.

Tubing Connections for TXV Models

Condensate Drain Lines

Drain Line Requirements

Use 3/4" NPT female connections. Hand-tighten to 37 in-lbs. Pitch lines 1/4" per foot. Insulate lines to prevent sweating.

Condensate Overflow Protection

Install auxiliary drain pan and "P" style trap as close as practical to the evaporator coil to prevent overflow damage.

Ductwork

Return Air Filters

Electrical and Control Wiring

Wiring Routing

Route all electrical wiring through provided knockouts. Do not cut, puncture, or alter the cabinet for wiring.

Building Electrical Service Inspection

Unit is for single-phase supply only. Measure supply voltage and ensure agreement with unit nameplate requirements.

Wire Sizing

Select wire size to carry MCA, allow max 2% voltage drop, and consider insulation temperature rating per NEC/CEC.

Maximum Overcurrent Protection (MOP)

Install NEC/CEC approved overcurrent protection. Size fuses/breakers larger than MCA but not exceeding MOP.

Copper Conductors

Use only copper conductors for wiring to avoid fire hazard, property damage, personal injury, or fire.

High Voltage Safety

Disconnect all power before servicing. Multiple power sources may be present. Failure to do so may cause injury or death.

Electrical Grounding Safety

Unit MUST have an uninterrupted electrical ground circuit for safety. Follow NEC/CEC and local/state codes.

Electrical Connections - Supply Voltage

Air Handler Only (Non-Heat Kit Models)

Air Handler - Non-Circuit Breaker Heat Kits

Air Handler With Circuit Breaker Heat Kit

Low Voltage Connections
