The Amaran F21x is a high-performance LED photography light designed for professional-level photography, offering a compact, lightweight, and durable structure. This fixture is engineered to provide high brightness and an excellent color rendering index, with adjustable brightness to suit various lighting needs. Its versatility is further enhanced by compatibility with a wide range of lighting accessories, allowing users to achieve diverse lighting effects and adapt to different product usage patterns. The Amaran F21x is designed to meet the demands of various light control scenarios, making it an ideal tool for achieving professional photographic results.

Usage Features:

The Amaran F21x offers flexible power options, allowing it to be powered by either AC or DC sources. For AC power, the light connects to a standard AC 100V-240V outlet via an AC cable and power adapter. For DC power, it can be operated using V-mount or Anton Bauer batteries, providing portability and convenience for on-location shoots. The device includes a control box with an OLED screen, offering intuitive manual control over its functions.

The control box features several key elements for operation:

ON/OFF button: To power the device on or off.
MENU button: To access the main menu for advanced settings.
LIGHT MODE button: To switch between different lighting modes, including CCT (Correlated Color Temperature), CFX (Custom Effects), and FX (Special Effects).
TRIGGER knob: Used to trigger specific effects in FX mode, such as Lightning and Explosion.
MODE knob: For navigating through menu options and adjusting parameters.
CCT knob: Specifically for adjusting color temperature in CCT mode.
INT knob: A multi-functional knob used for selecting FX modes, adjusting brightness (0-100%), and navigating through various menu settings like DMX channel, frequency selection, dimming curve, BT reset, BT serial number, studio mode, language, firmware version, update firmware, and factory reset.

Setting Up the Light:

The Amaran F21x features an X-type frame for easy assembly and disassembly. To set up, users pull out the bolts in the direction indicated, unfold the four support rods, and then loosen the fixing bolts to lock them in place. The lamp body is then attached to the X-shaped bracket by inserting the four support rods into the blocks at each corner. Removal involves pulling out the support rods in the opposite direction.

Soft Box Installation:

The soft box is designed for easy attachment, with grooves on one side corresponding to the side of the lamp body where the power cord is located. The Velcro on the lamp body and soft box are then secured, followed by the installation of fabric diffusion and a grid for light shaping.

Mounting the Lamp Body:

The lamp body can be fastened to a light stand (not standard) using Bracket A or Bracket B. Users adjust the lamp body to a suitable height, rotate the tightening handle to secure it on the tripod, and then adjust the angle as needed before tightening the locking handle.

Extension Cord Usage:

An extension cable can be used to connect the lamp body to the control box, allowing for greater flexibility in positioning. It's important to note that the extension cable, control box, and lamp body must correspond to ensure compatibility, and different models cannot be mixed. When removing the wire, users must press or rotate the spring lock on the connector to release the self-locking device, avoiding forceful pulling.

Operational Modes:

CCT Mode: Allows adjustment of color temperature from 2500K to 7500K and brightness from 0% to 100%.
FX Mode: Offers a variety of special effects, including Paparazzi, Lightning, TV, Fire, Strobe, Explosion, Fault Bulb, Pulsing, and Fireworks. For Lightning and Explosion effects, the TRIGGER knob activates them, while for other effects, the INT TRIGGER circulates or stops them.
CFX Mode: Provides access to Custom FX, including Picker FX, Music FX, and TouchBar FX.

Menu Settings:

DMX Mode: Allows adjustment of the DMX channel (001-512) for integration with DMX controllers. The device supports daisy-chaining multiple lights using DMX.
Frequency Selection: Enables selection of frequency from +0 to 2000Hz.
Dimming Curve: Offers various dimming curves: Exp, Log, S-curve, and Linear, which can be selected and confirmed with the INT knob.
BT Reset: Resets the Bluetooth connection.
BT Serial NO.: Displays the Bluetooth serial number.
Studio Mode: Configures the light for studio use.
Language: Allows selection between English and Chinese.
Firmware Version: Displays the current firmware version.
Update Firmware: Facilitates firmware upgrades.
Factory Reset: Resets the device to its factory default settings.

Sidus Link APP Integration:

The Amaran F21x is compatible with the Sidus Link app, available on iOS App Store and Google Play Store. This app enhances the functionality of the light, providing more detailed control and options. Users can visit sidus.link/app/help for comprehensive guidance on using the app to control their Aputure lights.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning: Only a dry microfiber cloth should be used to clean the product.
Storage: Before storing, the lighting fixture must be allowed to cool completely. The power cable should be unplugged and stored in the assigned space within the carrying case.
Safety Precautions: The manual emphasizes several safety instructions, including not operating the fixture with a damaged cord, avoiding contact with hot surfaces, not blocking ventilation, and not looking directly at the LED light source when powered on.
Service and Repair: In case of damage or malfunction, users are advised to contact cs@aputure.com or take the fixture to qualified service personnel. Unauthorized disassembly is not covered by the warranty, and users may incur maintenance costs.
Accessory Use: It is recommended to use only original Aputure cable accessories. Malfunctions caused by unauthorized accessories are not covered by the warranty, and users may be responsible for maintenance costs.
