To use SQL Workbench/J with an ODBC driver
1. Install the ODBC driver on your system. In this example, we're using a 64-bit Unicode driver.
a. Unzip the driver package downloaded in Step 3 of To set up SQL Workbench/J (p. 96) and then
install the driver by using the .MSI package.
b. In the Amazon Redshift console, click the name of your cluster, and write down or copy the
ODBC URL from the Configuration pane.You will use portions of the URL string in step e.
c. In the Control Panel, open the Administrative Tools icon, and then double-click the Data Sources
(ODBC) icon.
d. In the ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog box, click System DSN. Click Add. Select the
Unicode driver, and then click Finish.
