How to fix Ambient Weather RC-8401 wireless sensor communication issues?
    • G
      gina85Jul 27, 2025
If your Ambient Weather Clock Radio's wireless sensor isn't communicating, syncing, or is intermittent, try these steps: * Ensure the sensor is powered on and the LED flashes about once per minute. Use lithium batteries in cold environments; replace batteries if the transmitter isn't flashing. * The sensor should be within 150 feet of the clock. * If the sensor is too close (less than 5-10 feet), move it further away. * Ensure the sensor isn't transmitting through metal or earth barriers. * Move the clock away from devices that generate electrical noise. * Try moving the sensor to a higher or closer location. * Note that Radio Frequency (RF) Sensors cannot transmit through metal barriers or multiple, thick walls.
