This section de scribes the operation of the GPS 1 NA V Switching
and Relampable Annunciator Panel, Model AK-950.

FUNCTION
Pushing the NA V 1 GPS switch selects the
navigation source {VOR 1 ILS 1 LOC or GPS)
to be displayed on the HSI or COl.
Although it may be displayed on the GPS
unit' s built-in COl, course information is a Iso
displayed on the panel-mounted HSI or COl
when executing an approach utilizing GPS
navigational data.
This Optional Glide Slope 1 ILS Override
Feature will force the AK-950
automatically switch to the NA V mode,
regardless of the position of the NA V /GPS
switch, provided that the connected NA V
Receiver is tuned to an ILS frequency.
ln this mode, the Blue GPS Annunciator will
extinguish and the Green NA V
Annunciator will illumina te accordingly.
The information presented on the HSI or
CDI will th en be from the NA V {VORI only.
