Thethermometershouldbeusedexactlyas
before,althoughitwillbeobservedthatthereis
areducedmagnicationofthescenedisplayed
throughtheeyepiece.
Itispossibletomovetheeyepieceawayfromtheeyebyatleast50mm
andstillseethefulleldofview,themeasurementcircle,andtheinternal
temperaturedisplay.
TherubbercupontheLERadaptorcanbeusedtoadjusttheeyepiecetoobtain
thebestpossiblefocusonthegraticulecircle,althoughthisisusuallyless
criticalthanforthestandard,highmagnication,eyepiece.
