The AMP Research BedStep is a foot-operated, retractable step designed for Ram 2500/3500 trucks manufactured between 2019 and 2023. This device provides easier access to the truck's cargo bed.

Function Description:

The BedStep is a deployable and retractable step that operates with a simple nudge of the foot. To deploy the step, the user presses down on the forward outside corner of the step pad with their left foot. To retract it, the user gently kicks the underside of the step pad. The step is designed to be stowed in the retracted position when driving.

3. Install Bracket Hex Bolts (new supplied bolts #8) to the bumper mount on the driver's side, torquing to 41 ft-lbs / 55 Nm. If a plug was removed, attach it to the top of the bracket.
4. Remove the hitch bolt insert bracket and use supplied hardware to attach it to the main bracket assembly.
5. Insert PT Screws into corresponding holes and torque to 6 ft-lbs / 8 N.m. (Caution: Overtightening may damage the step pad).
6. The installation process involves attaching the main bracket to the driver's side bumper mount and then securing the step pad.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning: The step pad surface and linkage arms can be cleaned with mild soap and water using a soft brush or sponge to remove mud, dirt, or accumulated road grime. After cleaning, rinse with fresh water.
