Function Description

The BedStep deploys and retracts with a nudge of the foot. To deploy, the user presses down on the forward outside corner of the step pad with their left foot. Usage Features

Installation Overview

The installation process involves several steps, requiring specific torque settings for various bolts and screws to ensure proper and safe operation.

Locate Attachment Points: Identify the rear receiver hitch attachment points on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Assemble Linkage and Brackets: Secure linkage (1) in a vice and tighten bolts (8) to 33 ft-lbs (44 Nm). Attach brackets (3) and (4) with one Conical bolt (9) and one Conical nut (10), hand-tightening initially. Torque bolt (9) to 16 ft-lbs (22 Nm).
Attach Brackets to Vehicle: Secure the assembled brackets to the vehicle's attachment points using bolts (8), torquing them to 29 ft-lbs (39 Nm).
Attach Bracket (5): Use two Conical washer bolts (9) to attach Bracket (5), torquing them to 16 ft-lbs (22 Nm).
Install Step Pad: Insert PT Screws (6) into the corresponding holes and torque them to 6 ft-lbs (8 N.m). A note warns against overtightening, as it may damage the step pad.

AMP Research provides a THREE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance. Remedies are limited to repair or replacement of defective items.
