The BedStep is a retractable step that attaches to the rear bumper and bed panel of the truck. Installation Process:

  5. Install Upper Bed Panel Bracket: Mount bracket (19-03962-90) to the upper bed panel. The slotted side of this bracket should face the bed panel. Use the provided bolts and nuts and torque them to 16 ft-lbs / 22 Nm using a 13mm socket.
  6. Install Step Pad: Position the step pad with the offset side facing rearward.
  7. Secure Step Pad: Torque the three PT screws to 5 ft-lbs / 6 Nm using a T25 Torx wrench. A note warns against overtightening these screws to prevent damage to the step pad.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: The step pad surface and linkage arms can be cleaned with mild soap and water. A soft brush or sponge can be used to dislodge mud, dirt, or accumulated road grime. After cleaning, rinse with fresh water.
