Here's what you can do: * Ensure the ribbon and media are loaded correctly by reloading the supply. * Clean the printhead to remove any dust or adhesive accumulation. * Adjust the print density and print speed to proper settings. * Consider changing the ribbon or label media if the printhead element is damaged. * Adjust the printhead pressure adjustment knob if the release lever does not latch the printhead properly.

  If your AMT Datasouth Barcode Reader is not printing, here are a few things to check: * Ensure the cable is securely connected to the serial, USB interface, or parallel port by reconnecting the cable to the interface. * If using a serial cable, replace it with one that is pin-to-pin connected and check the baud rate setting, noting that the default is 9600,n,8,1. * Verify the ribbon-inked side and reload the ribbon if the ribbon and media are not compatible. * Check your program for a PRINT command at the end of the file and ensure there is a CRLF at the end of each command line if the print density setting is incorrect.
