1. Do not place the handset on the floor of the vehicle while driving. If the device is not stationary,
then may interfere with the pedal.
2. Do not use the handset if it is not safe to do so while driving your vehicle.
3. If the ALX3000 requires a breath test during driving, please park in a safe place before
performing the test.
4. If you do not perform a random breath test requirement, the service interval will be shortened,
and these actions will be recorded in the device’s memory.
5. Operation, abuse, misuse, and tampering with the ALX3000 are a violation of the law and are
subject to fines and legal liability.

6. Avoid exposing the ALX3000 to other substances such as smoke, which may affect or damage its
sensor.
7. Avoid products containing alcohol such as washer fluid, hand disinfectant in the passenger
compartment, or in the same place where your interlock device is being stored.
8. Do not expose the sensor to high alcohol concentrations by drinking alcohol, eating foods with
alcohol (such as ripe fruit, etc.), or rinsing your mouth with alcoholic mouthwash shortly before
the breath test. We recommend rinsing mouth with water, or drinking water before taking the
breath test.
9. Use personal mouthpieces for hygiene reasons. Mouthpieces must be checked and replaced
frequently to ensure proper operation of the ALX3000.
