To ensure safe operation and prevent electrical shock, fire, or personal injury, users must adhere to the following safety precautions:
- Always inspect the product for cracks, missing plastic, or damaged insulation around the terminals before use.
- Ensure measurements are made with the correct input terminals and functions, and within the allowable measuring range.
- Avoid using the product in environments with explosive gas, vapor, or in damp/wet conditions.
- Keep fingers behind the finger guards on the probes during measurements.
- Do not touch input terminals not in service when the product is connected to a circuit.
- Disconnect test leads from the circuit before changing modes.
- Exercise extreme caution when measuring voltages exceeding 36V DC or 25V AC to prevent electric shock.
- Be aware that "OL" on the display indicates an input out of range.
- Replace batteries when the battery level is low to ensure accurate readings. Do not make measurements if the battery door is not properly placed.
- Do not measure current or voltage that exceeds the extremes indicated in the specifications.
- Disconnect circuit power and discharge all capacitors before testing resistance or diodes.
- Do not input voltage when testing current, resistance, capacitance, temperature, or square wave.

Measurements Instruction
Measure AC/DC Voltage:
- Connect the black test lead to COM and the red lead to VΩHz+.
- For voltages under 99.99mV, turn the rotary to %HzmV. For voltages higher than 99.99mV, turn the rotary to V.F.C %HzV, then press SELECT for AC voltage test mode.
- Touch probes to circuit test points.
- Read voltage on screen.
- Do not exceed specified voltage limits or touch high voltage circuits.
Measure AC/DC Current:
- Connect the black test lead to COM and the red lead to A or μA/mA (based on expected current).
- Turn the rotary to A, mA, or μA.
- Break the circuit, connect test leads across the break, and apply power.
- Read current on display.
- Do not exceed specified current limits. Use AmA terminal for unknown currents, switch to μA if necessary. Do not input voltage.
Measure Resistance:
- Connect the black test lead to COM and the red lead to VΩHz+.
- Turn the rotary to Ω, then press "SELECT" for Resistance Mode. "OL" will show initially.
- Touch probes to circuit test points.
- Read resistance on display.
- Disconnect power and discharge capacitors before testing. Do not input voltage.
