When we discussed the Handshake co ncept, we said th at
the Mac can send a signal to the remote co mput er to stop it
from se ndin g data. Wh en H an dsh aki ng is in effect, th e Stop
Scro lling command wi ll send that message. To continue send-
ing d
ata, pull down the Commands menu an d select Start
Scrolling.
If the Mac receives a Stop Sc rolling ins tructio n from the
remote compu ter, th e keyboard will become inactive. That is,
th e keyboard wi ll become locked. The Kbd Locked sta tu s li gh t
will b
ecome true if the sta tu s lights are displayed. To release the
keyboa rd, select U nlock Keyboard from the Commands menu.
