Place the instrument on a level surface in a stable environment and connect the power cord.
Allow the instrument to warm up for 15 minutes before proceeding with testing.
Choose a standard close to the sample's activity and prepare it in a sample cup.
Place the prepared sample into the instrument drawer and start the measurement.
Take two readings; they should be within +/-0.01 of the standard's specified value.
Prepare and measure the secondary standard to confirm instrument accuracy.
Do not tip or move the instrument with a sample inside to prevent sensor contamination.
Annual service includes calibration, firmware update, cleaning, warranty, and new supplies.
