Mechanical Speci ica ion
1. Middle of transformer to be potted (as shown).
2. P imary windings connect to 6 way MOLEX connector 39 01-2065. Secondary
windings connect to 8 way molex connector 39-01-3088. Use MOLEX pin 44476-3112.
MOLEX connectors have pin numbers indicated on hem.
3. P imary wi es a e enclosed in a common sleeve. Secondary wires are enclosed in a common
sleeve.
Use PVC sleeving.

Electrical Specification
1. T ansformer to have dual 115V primaries to a low paralel operation for
115V input and se ies ope ation wi h 230V input.
2. Transformer input votage range
115V -18% +14% (97.5V to 132 5V)
230V -18% +14% (195V to 265V)
3. Transformer to have 4 secondary windings as show in he adjacent drawing.

5. Each secondary winding to have a full wave (4diode) bridge to produce a single DC ra l. (AS
shown in diagram)
Output Capac tance is as indicated in table.
The spec fied voltage figure wth this input vo tage is to be the minimum votage on the reservoir
capactor as shown in the diagram.
6. The transfo mer is intended to be massively ove rated so as to p ovide ve y low esistance
windings for the VP24V7 and VN24V7 supp ies.
This wi l improve the audio qua ty of the equipment it is to be used in by allowing he flux density
to be very low and he wire guage to be la ger than would otherwise be he case. The sizes given
are maximum finished sizes.
There is no mert in a temp ing to reduce the size much below he maximum sizes spec fied. Audio
qual ty wil be improved by making he transformer as large as possble.
7. The VP46 and VP18 secondaries a e fused by T250mA Fuses.
The VP24V7 and VN24V7 secondary windings are unfused.
The transfo mer must be designed so hat a short on ether of the unfused windings wi l cause the
prima y fuses (2AT) to blow.
