Only replace broken or worn key
parts with original replacement
parts from the manufacturer or parts
approved by your manufacturer. This is
mandatory in the case of light systems,
while the manufacturer‘s warranty is usually
nullied if you install non-approved replace-
ment parts. Ask your specialist pedelec re-
tailer for advice on suitable material.
If you install non-original or wrong
replacement parts, this can lead to
severe loss of function! Tires with
poor grip or safety, brake pads with a low
friction coefcient and incorrectly installed or
poorly made lightweight components can all
lead to potentially serious accidents. The
same applies for improper assembly!
Tubeless tires
If your pedelec is equipped with tubeless tyres,
read the enclosed instructions from the manufac-
turer of the tyres and rims.
Only use tubeless tires on rims in-
tended for this purpose! This will be
marked on the rims, with the abbre-
viation “UST” for instance.
Only use tubeless tires in the pre-
scribed way, with the correct air
pressure and the recommended
sealant if required.
Tubeless tires can only be mounted and removed
from the rims without tools, otherwise this could
lead to leaks. If the
sealant is not sufcient
for preventing damage,
a normal tube can be
used after removing
the valve from the
tubeless system.
Tubular tires
If your pedelec is tted
with tubular tyres, read
the enclosed instruc-
tions from the manu-
facturer of the tyres
and rims.
Only use tubular tires on rims in-
tended for this purpose! These do
not have rim anges but smoothly
curving surface, from the outside inwards.
This is where the tubular tires are tted.
Only use tubular tires in the pre-
scribed way and with the correct air
pressure.
Attaching tubular tires requires ex-
pert skills and lots of experience! Al-
ways have your tubular tires changed
by a specialist. Inform yourself about how to
handle and change this type of tire!
Flat tire repair for conventional tires
Contact a pedelec dealer or an au-
thorised workshop to x at tires.
You will need specialised knowledge
and specialist tools, especially when remov-
ing the drive wheel and disconnecting the
motor connections. If you still want to perform
the repair yourself, please obtain prior in-
struction (e. g. from a specialist retailer).
Wheel removal and installation for wheels
without a hub motor
Always turn off the electrical system
rst and remove the battery before
performing any kind of work! Failure
to do so may result in electrical shock or se-
rious injury.
