5. In case of disconnection of KIB board installed on the cover, with the enclosure,
interconnect them.
6. Fit and fix the cover by screws.
7. Tighten sealing nuts on the cable glands, following the requirements of 2.5.1.7.
8. Connect the interface cable to the communication network, power supply
cable – to the power supply source, as well as the external loud-speaker and
execution unit (flash lamp, etc.), if applied.
9. Turn on the power supply source.
10. When the power is turned on, DWEx unit is automatically initialized.
11. After the initialization the unit is ready for operation. To configure the unit (see
item 2.6.1). If required, check the communication quality, and adjust the volume
of the amplifiers and sensitivity of DWEx microphones.
2.5.3 Connection of DWEx unit
1. Input the communication and power cables through the sealing cable glands to
DWEx enclosure.
2. Peel off the insulation from cable wires.
3. Connect the cable wires to the terminal block according to Table B.1.
Interface line Uk
0
is connected to DWEx unit to the terminal block according
to Figure B.2. Connection of Uk
0
interface line from the other side (not illustrated
at Figure B.2), is executed to the digital subscriber interface of the communication system
via the station cross equipment.
Connection of the external power supply line U_POWER to the terminal block is
executed according to Figure B.3 with the polarity observed.
The built-in protection against reverse polarity at DWEx input excludes damage to
the unit, but stops its functioning until the wrong polarity of the power supply is eliminated.
The individual protected power supply lines should be used for each subscriber unit
connected via the "Multi-purpose module of the subscriber fuses 8X1A" ARMT.665200.104.
When PoU “phantom” power supply circuit is used, U_FANTOM output of the
“phantom” power supply circuit should be connected to U_POWER terminals instead of
external power supply line, by putting the bridges as illustrated at Figure B.3.
Power supply of DWEx versions with auxiliary amplifier by “phantom” power supply
circuit is prohibited.
