Full sensor resolution (2880 x 1620 in 16:9 mode, 2880 x 2160 in
4:3 mode)
ARRIRAW is transmitted to the recorder via ARRIRAW T-Link using
standard HD-SDI dual link cables with proprietary encoding. The HD-
SDI signal complies with the SMPTE 372M standard.
An ARRIRAW T-Link-certified recorder must be used for recording
ARRIRAW. Certified recorders are available from Codex, Convergent
Design and S.Two, among others.

ARRIRAW* 3G SL
The ARRIRAW 3G SL signal format uses a single HD-SDI signal that
complies with the SMPTE 425M standard. It is similar to ARRIRAW 1.5G
DL, but uses only one cable.
ARRIRAW* 3G DL
This output format is fully proprietary and does not follow SMPTE
standards. It is used to transmit ARRIRAW with frame rates between 30
and 60 fps.
*ARRIRAW T-Link output is not supported on ALEXA HD, ALEXA HD Plus,
ALEXA XT cameras and ALEXA Classic cameras with an XR Module upgrade.
Note: Only use double-shielded HD-SDI cables on all HD-SDI outputs to ensure
error-free data transmission!
Triggering record on an external recorder
When internal recording is set to Off, the REC button triggers only the
SDI record flag, signaling the recorder to start and stop recording.
The SDI record flag is an ancillary data packet in the blanking area of
the HD-SDI signal that contains information about active recording. This
packet is always embedded in the HD-SDI signal.
Note: With the SDI record flag, successful recording cannot be guaranteed, as
there is no feedback from the recorder to the camera.
