1.4 STANDARDS AND CERTIFICATIONS -

1.5 INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS -
This product manual serves as the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs) for the
Air Rescue Vest Quick Connect (ARV-QC).
• This document lists user operating instructions, operational capability, and equipment
limitations for the Air Rescue Vest Quick Connect (ARV-QC).
• This document includes instructions on how and when to conduct inspections as well as
product maintenance and storage procedures.
• This manual does not contain any troubleshooting information, as any alterations or
repairs to the Air Rescue Vest Quick Connect (ARV-QC) not conducted by Air Rescue
Systems may damage structural integrity. Alterations and/or repairs are prohibited and
void the product warranty.
1.6 AIRWORTHINESS LIMITATIONS -
• A pre-ight safety check must be performed by the rescuer every time the device is used.
• A post-ight inspection must be performed every time the device is stowed.
• A routine inspection must be performed every time the device has been stored for a
period greater than 30 days.
• A ve-year life span is the maximum authorized use of ARS products following the date
of manufacture. All ARS products have a ve-year shelf life from the eective date of
manufacture.
• ARS products must be in good working condition and must pass a manufacturers inspection
to extend the service life beyond ve years. Any product that is over ve years and is in
poor inspection condition must be removed from service.
