Why are my dishes not clean in my Asko D5436 XXL?
    • C
      Christopher IrwinAug 17, 2025
Several factors can cause your Asko Dishwasher to leave dishes unclean. The spray arms might not be rotating due to blockage, so remove and clean them. Ensure you're using fresh detergent, as it's a perishable product, and avoid buying large packages. Use the correct detergent dosage based on your water hardness, as too much or too little can affect results. Select a more powerful wash program or a higher temperature. Make sure dishes are loaded correctly, without large bowls covering smaller items or tall glasses in basket corners, and ensure dishes are placed to sit steadily. Finally, check that the filter is correctly fitted and screwed firmly into place.

What to do if my Asko D5436 XXL does not start?
    • E
      Erica CampbellAug 20, 2025
If your Asko Dishwasher isn't starting, there are several things to check: Ensure the Start/Stop button is pressed and held until the display flashes three times. Verify that the door is properly closed and that a fuse/circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Confirm the dishwasher is plugged into the wall socket and the water tap is turned on. Also, check for any overflow/leaks. If you hear a continuous whirring sound (drainage pump), turn off the water tap, pull out the plug, and contact the service department. Lastly, make sure the Delayed start option hasn't been accidentally selected; press and hold Start/Stop for five seconds to cancel it.

How to fix water remaining in Asko Dishwasher?
    • C
      Chelsea WestAug 23, 2025
If water remains in your Asko Dishwasher, check for a blocked or kinked drainage hose. Loosen the hose where it connects to the sink unit's water trap to check for blockages, ensuring the cone-shaped part of the pipe is cut to at least 14 mm inner diameter. Make sure the hose is free from kinks and sharp bends. Also, inspect and clean the coarse and fine filters, ensuring the filter is completely locked with the handle pointing towards the door. Finally, check for debris in the drainage pump and clean it.

How to improve drying in Asko Dishwasher?
    • J
      Jaime DuncanAug 26, 2025
If your Asko Dishwasher isn't drying dishes adequately, try these steps: Activate the Long dry option. Ensure the dishwasher is fully loaded. Check and top up the rinse aid, or increase the rinse aid dosage. You can also try opening the door a little once the program has finished.

Why are there spots or films on dishes from my Asko D5436 XXL Dishwasher?
    • S
      Sophia JohnsAug 28, 2025
Spots or films on dishes from your Asko Dishwasher can often be resolved by adjusting the rinse aid dosage setting. Also, using too high a temperature or too much detergent can cause etching on crystal, so wash crystal at a lower temperature and with less detergent.

    Leslie BlackwellAug 31, 2025
What causes a rattling sound in my Asko D5436 XXL?
    • S
      Sheryl MillerAug 31, 2025
A rattling sound during dishwashing in your Asko Dishwasher usually means the dishes aren't correctly placed or the spray arms aren't rotating. Check that the dishes are placed securely and spin the spray arms to ensure they can rotate freely.

How to get rid of bad odor in Asko D5436 XXL Dishwasher?
    • M
      Mrs. Erika HoweSep 2, 2025
A bad odor in your Asko Dishwasher can be caused by dirt around the seals and in corners. Clean these areas with a washing-up brush and a low-foaming cleaner. Also, if you frequently use low-temperature programs, run a program with a higher temperature about once a month.

What causes a sticky white/blue film on dishes in Asko D5436 XXL?
    • T
      Tiffany HuntSep 5, 2025
A sticky white/blue film on dishes from your Asko Dishwasher is likely due to a rinse aid dosage setting that is too high. Reduce the amount of rinse aid. If you have very soft water, dilute the rinse aid 50:50 with water.

How to prevent spots on stainless steel or silver in Asko D5436 XXL?
    • W
      williamserinSep 8, 2025
Spots on stainless steel or silver in your Asko Dishwasher can occur if certain foods like mustard, mayonnaise, lemon, vinegar, salt, and dressings are left on items for too long; rinse these off before washing, using the Rinse & Hold program if needed. Also, stainless steel can cause spots on silver if they come into contact during washing, as can aluminum; avoid contact between silver and stainless steel items during dishwashing.

Why don't the touch buttons react on my Asko D5436 XXL Dishwasher?
    • M
      Mitchell WigginsSep 12, 2025
If the touch buttons on your Asko Dishwasher aren't responding, wait a moment and try again, especially if you've just opened the door. Clean the buttons with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Also, check if the Child lock (button lock) is activated.
