Why won't my Asko D5524 Dishwasher start?
    • K
      Kayla KlineAug 18, 2025
If your Asko dishwasher isn't starting, make sure you have turned on the main power switch by pressing and holding it until the display lights up. Also, check that the door is properly closed, the plug is correctly plugged into the power outlet, the water supply valve is turned on, and that a fuse/circuit breaker hasn't been tripped. Finally, check for any overflow/leaks. If you hear a whirring sound from the drain pump that doesn't stop when you turn off the main power, turn off the water supply valve, pull out the plug, and call the Customer Care Center.

Why are there spots or films on my Asko D5524 Dishwasher dishes?
    • E
      ericapalmerAug 20, 2025
If your Asko dishwasher leaves spots or films on the dishes, the rinse aid dosage setting may be incorrect. See the sections Rinse aid and Settings. Also, too high a temperature or too much detergent can cause etching on crystal. Wash crystal at a low temperature and with a conservative amount of detergent. Contact the detergent manufacturer.

What to do if water remains in Asko Dishwasher after cycle?
    • M
      Michael WarrenAug 26, 2025
If your Asko dishwasher has water remaining above the filters, try these steps: First, loosen the drain hose and check for any clogs. Ensure the cone-shaped part of the drain boot is cut to the maximum size of the fitting where it attaches. Next, inspect the drain hose for kinks or sharp bends. If the filters are blocked, clean both the coarse and fine filters. Lastly, check for debris in the drain pump and clean it. See the section Care and maintenance instructions.

Why does my Asko Dishwasher leave a sticky white/blue film on dishes?
    • J
      Joshua Carr DVMAug 28, 2025
If your Asko dishwasher leaves a sticky white/blue film on the dishes, the rinse aid dosage setting may be too high. Reduce the amount. See the sections Rinse aid and Settings. If you have very soft water, you may want to dilute the rinse aid 50:50 with water.

Why does my Asko D5524 leave spots on stainless steel or silver?
    • V
      Vicki RomanAug 30, 2025
If your Asko dishwasher has spots on stainless steel or silver, it may be due to some types of food, such as mustard, mayonnaise, lemon, vinegar, salt, and dressings, if left for too long. Rinse off these types of food if not starting the dishwasher immediately, or run the Rinse & Hold program. Also, all stainless steel can cause spots on silver if they come into contact during dishwashing, and aluminum can also cause spots on dishes. Silver and stainless steel items should not come into contact during dishwashing.
