Why are the dishes not clean in my Asko D5534XLFI Dishwasher?
    • K
      Kelly HolmesAug 17, 2025
Several factors can cause this. The spray arms might not be rotating because they are blocked or need cleaning; remove and clean them to resolve this. Old detergent, incorrect dosage, or a weak wash program can also be culprits. Make sure you're using fresh detergent, dosing it correctly based on your water hardness, and selecting an appropriate program. Also, ensure dishes are loaded correctly, not blocking the spray arms, and are held securely, so they don't topple over. Finally, check that the filter is correctly fitted.

What to do if my Asko D5534XLFI doesn't start?
    • M
      Michael StevensAug 20, 2025
If your dishwasher isn't starting, make sure you press and hold the Start/Stop button until the display indicates it's ready. Check that the door is properly closed, and that a fuse/circuit breaker hasn't been tripped. Also, verify the plug is securely in the power outlet and the water supply valve is open. Ensure the Delayed start option hasn't been selected. Finally, check for any signs of overflow/leaks. If you hear a continuous whirring sound (drain pump), turn off the water supply valve, pull out the plug, and call the Customer Care Center.

Why is there water remaining in my Asko Dishwasher above the filters?
    • B
      Brianna Garrison PhDAug 22, 2025
Standing water usually indicates a blockage. The drain hose may be blocked; loosen it and check for debris. Also, check for kinks in the drain hose. The filters might be blocked, so clean the coarse and fine filters. Finally, there could be debris in the drain pump. In that case, clean the drain pump. See the section Care and maintenance instructions.

How to fix spots or films on dishes from Asko D5534XLFI Dishwasher?
    • M
      Mary ScottAug 26, 2025
Spots or films may appear because of an incorrect rinse aid dosage setting. See the sections Before washing for the first time and Settings. Also, high temperatures or too much detergent can cause etching on crystal. Wash crystal at a low temperature and with a conservative amount of detergent. Contact the detergent manufacturer.

What to do if my Asko Dishwasher leaves spots on stainless steel or silver?
    • M
      mfloresAug 28, 2025
Certain foods like mustard, mayonnaise, lemon, vinegar, salt, and dressings can mark stainless steel if left for too long. Rinse off these foods if you're not starting the dishwasher immediately, or use the Rinse & Hold program. Also, stainless steel can cause spots on silver if they touch during washing, and aluminum can cause spots on dishes. Keep silver and stainless steel items from touching during dishwashing.

    • D
      david09Aug 30, 2025
To improve drying, activate the Long dry option. Ensure the dishwasher is fully loaded. Check the rinse aid level and increase the dosage if it's too low. See the sections Before washing for the first time and Settings. After the program finishes, open the door a little.

Why does my Asko D5534XLFI have a bad odor?
    • S
      Stephanie GallagherSep 2, 2025
A bad odor can be caused by dirt around the seals and in corners, so clean these areas with a dish brush and low-foaming cleaner. Also, using low-temperature programs for extended periods can contribute to odors. Try running a program with a higher temperature about once a month.

How to fix rattling sound when dishwashing in Asko D5534XLFI Dishwasher?
    • J
      john42Sep 5, 2025
A rattling sound typically means the dishes aren't placed correctly, or the spray arms are blocked. Ensure the dishes are placed securely. Spin the spray arms to make sure they can rotate freely.

    Christine ChaneySep 7, 2025
What causes a sticky white/blue film on dishes in my Asko Dishwasher?
    • J
      Jacqueline MarshallSep 7, 2025
This film is often due to a rinse aid dosage setting that's too high. Reduce the amount. See the sections Before washing for the first time and Settings. If you have very soft water, you may want to dilute the rinse aid 50:50 with water.

    • M
      melissa58Sep 12, 2025
