  • Electrical Connection: Must be earthed and comply with national/local regulations. Requires an omnipolar switch with at least 3 mm contact separation if not fitted with supply cord and plug.

Usage Features:

  • Pans: Always ensure flames remain under the pan. Recommended pan bottom diameters vary by burner type:
    • Wok burner: 18-30 cm
    • Rapid burner: 16-26 cm
    • Semi-rapid burner: 14-22 cm
    • Simmer burner: 12-22 cm
    • Maintain at least 1 cm distance between the pan and control knobs or non-heat resistant walls.
  • Wok Ring and Small Pan Grid: A wok ring is provided or obtainable for stability with round-based woks. A small pan grid (obtainable) allows use of very small pans, but should not be used on the wok burner.
  • Pan Support: Place vertically using positioning notches on the glass top.
  • Burner Assembly: Burner parts are assembled using guide ridges. Incorrect assembly can lead to poor burner function.
  • Ignition and Adjustment:
    1. Press and turn the control knob anticlockwise to ignite.
    2. Keep the knob depressed for at least 3 seconds to activate the thermocouple safety pilot.
    3. For wok burners, turn the wok selector ring to the roasting setting (5) to switch off the inner ring (wok setting) and switch on the outer ring (roasting setting).
    4. The wok burner automatically switches to the wok setting if the control knob is set to 0.
    5. It is possible to switch between wok and roasting settings during cooking. The selector ring cannot be changed to roasting setting if the control knob is in the off (0) position. Always return the knob to 0 completely.

Maintenance Features:

  • Daily Cleaning: Regular cleaning after use prevents stubborn stains. Use a mild detergent. Clean control knobs, burners, and pan supports first, then the drip tray or glass cover.
  • Burner Parts: Should not be cleaned in a dishwasher as dishwasher detergents can corrode them.
  • Stubborn Stains: Remove with fluid detergent or a plastic scouring sponge. Avoid scouring powder, scouring pads, sharp objects, or aggressive cleaning products.
  • Glass Cover Stains: Clean with a special cleaning product for ceramic hobs. Water stains or limescale can be cleaned with cleaning vinegar. Do not use abrasives or sharp objects.
  • Stainless Steel (Drip Trays) Stains: Remove with a special stainless steel cleaning product. Wipe with the grain of the steel to protect the layer. Discolouration of stainless steel drip trays over time is normal.
  • Brass Wok Burner Parts: Colour change in brass parts due to high temperatures is normal.
  • General: Clean burner parts regularly for safe and correct operation. If rubber feet on pan supports are missing, contact service. Never use a steam cleaner.

Safety Information:

  • General Danger: Appliance and accessible parts become hot during use. Keep children under 8 away unless continuously supervised.
  • Fire Danger: Do not store items on cooking surfaces. Cooking with fat or oil unsupervised can be dangerous. Never use water to extinguish oil/fat fires; switch off appliance and cover flames. Do not flambé under a cooker hood.
  • Electric Shock: If the ceramic surface is cracked, switch off the appliance and isolate it from the power supply immediately. Do not touch the surface or use the appliance.
  • Gas Connection Danger: Ensure proper gas connection by a registered installer, compatible with local distribution conditions. The gas connection must comply with national and local regulations. Use a fixed pipe or specially designed safety hose. The gas supply valve must be easily accessible.
  • Children and Special Needs: Appliance can be used by children aged 8+ and individuals with reduced capabilities if supervised and instructed. Do not allow children to play with or clean the appliance unsupervised. Keep children away from hot cooking zones.
  • Ventilation: Prolonged intensive use requires additional ventilation (e.g., opening a window or increasing mechanical ventilation). Ensure the kitchen is well ventilated when the appliance is in use.
  • Hot Parts: Burner components are hot after use; avoid contact with non-heat resistant materials. Do not immerse hot burner caps and pan supports in cold water.
  • Cookware: Always use pan supports and suitable cookware. Do not place pans directly on burner caps. Avoid aluminium trays or foil.
  • Installation: Only a registered installer should connect the appliance. Walls and worktop must be heat resistant up to 105 °C. The worktop must be flat.
  • Drawer Underneath: If permitted, do not store highly flammable objects. Ensure adequate clearance between the hob bottom and drawer contents.
  • Other Restrictions: Hob is for food preparation only, not room heating. Do not warm closed tins. Do not cover with cloth. Do not use as a worktop. Do not use below 5 °C or outdoors. Do not operate via external timer or remote control. Never open casing.
  • Faulty Parts: Only original parts should be used for replacement. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or qualified persons.

Environmental Aspects:

The appliance is made of sustainable materials and should be disposed of responsibly at the end of its service life. Packaging materials (cardboard, PE, CFC-free PS rigid foam) are recyclable. The product is marked with a crossed-out dustbin symbol, indicating it should not be disposed of with normal domestic refuse but taken to a special municipal waste collection centre or dealer. This ensures proper recycling and prevents negative environmental impact. Broken ceramic glass plates should be taken to a municipality's waste recycling centre, not the glass recycling bin. The product complies with applicable European directives, orders, regulations, and referenced standards.
