Why won't the burner on my Asko Hg1984a ignite?
- SSarah BennettAug 12, 2025
Several factors can prevent a burner from igniting. First, ensure the hob is properly connected to a power source by pushing the plug into the socket. Check the fuse and replace it if defective, or switch the automatic fuse back on. Clean and dry the sparkplug, and make sure that the burner parts are correctly installed using the centring ridges. Ensure that burner parts are clean, dry, and outflow holes are open. Also, confirm that the main gas tap is open, and that the gas bottle or tank is not empty. If problems persist, check with your gas supplier for faults in the gas network or contact your gas fitter to check that the gas used is suitable for the appliance.
