Assemblage SET-300B Signature Upgrade Kit Preview:
At this time I would like to re f resh your memory to the fact that as with all of our other Assemblage kits, this SET-300B amplifier also has
an additional special selection of upgrade parts available.
A quick run down of the Signature Upgrade parts include Multi-Cap RTX polystyrene capacitors, additional Multi-Cap and Wi m a
bypass caps, more replacements such as Black Gates, Vishay and Caddock resistors, Kimber Kable Ultraplated RCA jacks, Kimber
Kable AGSS silver wire, D.H. Labs Silver Sonic input wiring for each channels, Cardas silver/rodium/gold plated dual binding posts,
and E.A.R. isolation feet. The complete step by step instructions for the change over is also included, plus WBT 4% silver solder.
You will also notice the rear panel chassis knock out, and that it must be for something. That something is an attenuator so that you
may use the amplifier directly connected to your favorite source equipment. This is cool, but not all that exciting yet? Well OK, we have
made provisions to install a pair of large chassis mount Black Gate electrolytics in the power supply for each channel! ...So bite on that
and chew it for awhile.
You may get these parts as a kit to install yourself, or we will also install it for you into your Assemblage SET-300B Amplifier.
As you would expect the Signature Upgrade Kit will improve the overall tonal balance and realism, expand the soundstage and allow
you to get more intimate the very inviting harmonics of the sweet 300B sounds.
As I am finishing off this manual, I am thinking that this SET-300B amplifier has a theme that is a little unique from our other kits, and
that is user flexibility. For example, we have provisions made to accommodate many choices of output coupling caps, like Exotia TFT,
Seti InfiniCap, Jensen Copper Paper in Oil and many of these in .22uF to .47uF in sizes. In the Left and Right Filter Banks we have a
special position designed to hold a pair of 100uF Black Gate chassis mount caps. You have the simple option to run this chassis as a
Mono Block amp to double the power. For the minimalists why not install one of our many attenuators that will fit into the chassis and
s t reamline the signal path? We must not forget that you have the ultimate say in which O/P 300B tube you would prefer in this fine kit!
