Spots on stainless steel or silver items in your Atag dishwasher can occur if they come into contact with certain foods like mustard, mayonnaise, lemon, vinegar, salt, and dressings for too long. Rinse these types of foods off dishes if you're not starting the dishwasher immediately, or use the Rinse & Hold program. Additionally, stainless steel can cause spots on silver if they touch during washing; avoid contact between silver and stainless steel items.
