What to do if my Atag VA9811NT Dishwasher does not start?
    • M
      melissa67Aug 18, 2025
If your Atag dishwasher isn't starting, make sure you press and hold the Start/Stop button until the display shows the door open symbol. Check that the door is properly closed, and that a fuse/circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Also, ensure the dishwasher is plugged into the wall socket, the water tap is turned on, and there are no signs of overflow or leaks. Verify that the Delayed start option isn't active, or cancel it by pressing and holding Start/Stop for three seconds. If a whirring sound persists even after cutting power, turn off the water tap, pull out the plug, and call the service division.

Why are my dishes not clean after using the Atag VA9811NT?
    • K
      Kristen BaileyAug 20, 2025
If your Atag dishwasher isn't cleaning dishes properly, several factors could be at play. First, make sure the spray arms can rotate freely by removing and cleaning them. Ensure you're using fresh detergent and the correct dosage for your water hardness, as old detergent or incorrect amounts can affect cleaning. Select a more powerful wash cycle or a higher temperature. Load dishes correctly, avoiding overcrowding or blocking items. Secure glasses and cups to prevent them from toppling over. Finally, check that the filter is correctly fitted to avoid any issues.

Why are there spots or films on dishes from my Atag Dishwasher?
    • E
      Eric SanchezAug 23, 2025
If you're noticing spots or films on your dishes after washing in your Atag dishwasher, it could be due to several reasons. Check that the salt compartment lid is properly tightened to prevent the water softener from leaking salt. Ensure that your water softener setting is correct. Also, verify that your rinse aid dosage setting is accurate. Make sure the salt compartment is not empty and needs to be topped up with salt. If you're washing crystal, high temperatures and too much detergent can cause etching, so wash crystal at a low temperature and use less detergent.

Spots on stainless steel or silver in your Atag dishwasher can occur if certain foods like mustard, mayonnaise, lemon, vinegar, salt, and dressings are left on items for too long; rinse these off before washing.
