Usage Features
The dishwasher is operated via a front panel with touch buttons and audible feedback.
Programmes:
- Auto wash: Automatically adjusts water consumption and temperature based on dish dirtiness. Requires five initial runs for optimal adaptation.
- Heavy wash: For very dirty dishes like pans and casserole dishes (55°C/70°C).
- Normal wash: For daily use, removes dried leftovers (60°C/65°C).
- Daily wash: Effective for daily use with slightly dried leftovers (60°C/65°C).
- Quick wash: For slightly dirty glasses and porcelain (30°C/60°C).
- Super quick wash: Short 15-minute program for very slightly dirty dishes (30°C/60°C).
- Delicate wash: For fragile glasses and porcelain, with options for lower temperatures (40°C/50°C).
- Eco wash: Most effective for normally dirty dishes in terms of combined energy and water consumption (50°C/60°C).
- Rinse & Dry: Rinses with heating and drying, suitable for sterilizing glass jars (50°C).
- Rinse & Hold: Rinses dishes while waiting for a full load.
Options:
- High temperature: Activates a higher temperature for the main wash, improving dishwashing results.
- Long dry: Increases final rinse temperature and extends drying phase for better drying results, with a slight increase in energy consumption.
- Delayed start: Allows setting a start delay of 1-24 hours.
- Child lock (button lock): Prevents children from starting the dishwasher. Temporarily deactivated by pressing High temperature and Long dry buttons simultaneously.
Loading:
- Dishes should be scraped clean of large food particles, not rinsed under running water.
- Upper basket: For glasses, cups, bowls, side plates, and saucers. Wine glasses on the wine glass shelf, knives in the knife stand. Dirty surfaces should face inwards and downwards.
- Lower basket: For plates, serving dishes, pots, and cutlery.
- Cutlery basket: Cutlery handles facing down (except knives), spread out to prevent stacking. A fold-down section is available for small items. Avoid mixing silver and stainless steel cutlery.
Detergent and Rinse Aid:
- Use only dishwasher detergent.
- Detergent dosage depends on water hardness.
- Dishwasher tablets are not recommended for short programs (less than 75 minutes).
- Rinse aid improves drying. Dosage can be adjusted (0-6).
- The "TAB" setting (3-in-1/all-in-one detergent) automatically adapts the program for optimal results and disables rinse aid dispensing.
Settings Menu:
Accessed by opening the door, turning off the dishwasher, then pressing and holding the On/Left-on mode button until the display lights up, and within five seconds, pressing and holding the Programme selector and Long dry button.
- Child lock: Activate/deactivate.
- Buzzer volume: Adjusts the volume of the end-of-program and fault indicator buzzer.
- Operation volume: Adjusts the sound confirming button presses.
- LCD contrast: Adjusts display contrast.
- Rinse aid dosage: Adjusts rinse aid dispensing.
- TAB (3-in-1/all-in-one detergent): Activate/deactivate.
- Water hardness: Adjusts the water softener setting based on local water hardness (°dH or °fH).
Maintenance Features
Care and Cleaning:
- Coarse filter: Traps large food particles. Should be emptied and cleaned as necessary.
- Fine filter and pipe section: Should be cleaned a couple of times a year.
- Drainage pump: Accessible from inside the dishwasher for clearing blockages. Requires disconnecting power and removing filters.
- Spray arms (upper and lower): Holes and bearings can become blocked. Can be removed for cleaning.
- Door: Clean edges with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid spraying water near the door lock.
- Limescale deposits: If hard water causes limescale, run a Normal wash program with high temperature and two tablespoons of citric acid (no dishes).
- Front panel: Keep touch buttons clean and free from grease. Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Turn off the dishwasher before cleaning to avoid unintentional activation.
Troubleshooting:
The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as:
- Error codes (F:10 Overfilling, F:11 Water outlet fault, F:12 Water inlet fault, F:40 Inlet valve leakage).
- Dishes not clean (spray arms not rotating, old/incorrect detergent, weak program, incorrect loading).
- Spots or films on dishes (salt leakage, incorrect water softener/rinse aid settings, empty salt compartment, high temperature/too much detergent).
- Sticky white/blue film (rinse aid dosage too high).
- Spots on stainless steel or silver (foodstuffs, contact with other metals).
- Rattling sound (dishes incorrectly placed, spray arms blocked).
- Dishwasher not starting (door not closed, power issues, delayed start selected).
- Water remaining in dishwasher (blocked/kinked drainage hose, blocked filters, drainage pump debris).
- Bad odour (dirt around seals/corners, low temperature programs).
- Dishes not dry enough (drying power too low, not fully loaded, low rinse aid).
- Cannot close door (baskets not positioned correctly, dishes blocking baskets).
- Touch buttons not reacting (pressed too soon after opening door, dirt on buttons, door not open enough, child lock activated).
Service:
- Repairs and maintenance should be carried out by a qualified professional.
- The manual advises noting down the item and serial numbers from the rating plate for service inquiries.
