Check that the door is properly closed, the plug is correctly inserted into the wall socket, the water tap is turned on, and no fuse or circuit breaker has tripped. Also, make sure the Delayed start option is not selected (press and hold Start/Stop for three seconds to cancel it) and there are no overflow/leaks. If a whirring sound is heard and doesn't stop, turn off the water tap, pull out the plug and call the service division.
