This Quick Reference Guide provides basic instructions. For complete
instructions which allow you to use all features of this phone, refer to
your Two-Line Speakerphone with Caller ID/Call Waiting 992 User's
Manual, Part 2. Page references are provided for your convenience.
INSTALLATION (Pages 5–11)
• Install a 9V alkaline battery (not included). The battery is needed for
feature operation during a power failure.
• Connect the handset and line cords.
• Connect the power adapter.

Use the on-screen menu to change settings for the 992 features and to program
the One Touch and Directory memories.
• Access the menu by pressing E when the phone is idle.
• Use + and - to move through the menu.
• Use < and > to change the settings.
• Press E to make a selection.
