Answering system settings
To delete your outgoing announcement:
When the telephone is in idle mode, press MENU/SELECT to enter the
main menu.
Press MENU/SELECT again to select Answering sys.
Press MENU/SELECT again to select Announcement.
Press CALL LOGq or DIRECTORYp to scroll to Play current, then press
MENU/SELECT.
While the announcement is playing, press DELETE X to delete the
announcement. The screen shows Deleted and the system announces,
“Deleted” followed by “Hello, please leave a message aer the tone.”
When your announcement is deleted, the system answers calls with the
default announcement described on the previous page. You cannot delete the
default announcement.
To reset your outgoing announcement:
Follow steps 1-3 in To delete your outgoing
announcement section.
Press CALL LOGq or DIRECTORYp to scroll to
Reset annc, then press MENU/SELECT. The screen
shows Reset annc to default?.
Pressress MENU/SELECT to conrm. There is a conrmation
tone. The screen shows Announcement Reset.
When your announcement is reset, the system answers
calls with the default announcement described on the
previous page.
To turn on or o the answering system
To turn the answering system on or o:
Press ANS ON to turn the answering system on or o. When the answering
system is turned on, it announces, “Calls will be answered” and the
ANS ON light is on. When the answering system is turned o, it announces,
“Calls will not be answered” and the ANS ON light is o.
