Choosing a Profile
A prole controls how you connect to the MiFi device. Each prole has a specic purpose, though
generally the secure prole is recommended. You can choose one of three Wi-Fi proles.
SecureYour pre-congured prole is set to Secure. You can set up an additional prole
that also includes the security measures you need to use your device safely.
Temporary HotspotThis prole allows you set up a temporary hotspot that allows up to
ve others in your immediate area to securely go online using your device. The temporary
hotspot prole has a separate secure, temporary wireless network and password so you don’t
have to change the Secure prole.
OpenThis is a completely unsecure prole that should be avoided except during
troubleshooting.
Select the prole from the Prole list and click Apply to apply the setting or Edit Wi-Fi Prole to
make additional changes to the prole.
IMPORTANT When you click Apply in some profiles, you could change settings that result in
re-starting the MiFi device. Be sure you write down the changed network name and/or network
key before you click Apply.
