The data held in the Atar i 's RAM will be written to the
d es tination di skette, after which the Insert So ur ce Disk prompt
will reapp ea r. Continue this process un til the e ntir e diskette has
been copied.
If yo ur Atari system contain s multipl e driv es, the duplication
process is mu ch m ore simp l e. Wh en different so ur ce and
destination drives are specified (ex . 1,2 ), the fo ll owi ng prompt
will be displayed.

Aft er ins ert ing the diskette to be cop ied in the source drive and
the blank diskette on which the copy is to be made in the
destination drive, pr ess R et urn and the d upli cat ion process will
begin. Th e duplication process can take several minute s if the
so urce file is filled.
It is a good practice to write protect the so ur ce diskette to
pr eve nt it from bei ng accidentally overw ritt en if an error is
made.
With DOS version 2.0 systems, the fo ll owing prompt is
di splayed.*

CAUTION: A "Y" INVALID ATES MEM.SAV
If Y is e nt ered, the us er program area will be used for the copying
process, a nd existi ng programs in memory will be erased. An
e ntr y other than Y ca u ses Duplic ate Disk to be abo rt ed. If a
pro gram is stored in RAM that you wi sh to save, it should be
cop ied to cassette or disk ette before the Duplicate Disk
operation is begun .
K. Binary Save
The Binary Save operat ion is u sed to save the contents of RAM
on disk in ob ject file format. This format is a I so used for programs
written using the Assembler Editor cartridge.
