What to do if the monitor does not display when switching ports on ATEN CS82U?
    • L
      Lindsey PatrickJul 26, 2025
If your ATEN Switch monitor doesn't display when switching ports, especially during the initial installation, switch ports again and allow two or more seconds for the PC's EDID to pass to the monitor. If the PC’s EDID has not passed through, use the [d] hotkey to invoke Video DynaSync or switch to another PC to reconnect the switch.

      Heather StoneAug 7, 2025
If your ATEN Switch monitor doesn't display after hot-plugging the KVM cable set, it could be due to incompatibility between some graphics cards and cable set hot-plugging. Power off all devices, including the switch, confirm all KVM cables are properly connected, then power on the switch and the computers.

Why is my ATEN CS82U Switch behaving erratically?
    • A
      Amanda MckeeAug 13, 2025
If your ATEN Switch exhibits erratic behavior, it might not be receiving enough power. Try using a DC 5 V power adapter, or if you're already using one, ensure it matches the system specifications, is properly plugged in, and is functioning correctly. Also, the keyboard and/or mouse may need a reset. Unplug the cables from the console ports and plug them back in. Check the cable from the switch to the computer to ensure it's properly connected. Finally, the KVM switch may need a reset: power off all devices, including the KVM switch, wait five seconds, and then power everything back up.
