For best control, the Thermistor should be placed
in the process so that it can detect any temperature
change with little thermal lag.
3.2 Thermistor Input – ‘C’ Option
Outdoor Reset: (Type C Input). Setpoint range is
60ºF-170ºF. Two Thermistor sensors; one process,
one outdoor reset, automatically change the
controlled temperature as the outdoor temperature
changes. This eliminates droop or offset error. The
ratio of effect the outdoor probe has over the indoor
(process) probe is adjustable from 10:1 to 1:2. The
setpoint and reset ratio adjustment potentiometers
are on the staging controller cover.
Refer to Table 1 for typical Initial Temperature settings
for a number of different types of heating systems.
