5.1 Initial Check

Perform pre-operation checks including securing fittings, removing packaging, and verifying oil and fuel levels.

5.2 Drawbar Adjustment

Adjust the drawbar height to ensure the cutting deck is level for optimal cutting efficiency.

5.3 Mower Cutting Height

Utilize the screw jack to raise or lower the cutting deck to achieve the desired cutting height.

5.4 Starting The Engine

Read manual, observe safety. Set choke/throttle. Use foot for balance, pull cord firmly. Warm up and set RPM.

5.5 Forward Speed

Adjust forward speed according to cutting conditions to prevent engine strain and drive belt damage.

5.6 Stopping The Mower

Allow engine to cool at half speed for 4 minutes. Check hot parts, align drawbar, and clear debris.

5.7 Transport Position

Raise deck to highest position. Stop engine and blades, then remove debris before moving.

5.8 Anti-scalping Roller;Side Skids

Prevents ground damage from uneven terrain and allows kerb-side cutting. Adjustable for cutting height.

6 Maintenance

6.1 Engine

Consult the engine manufacturer's manual for specific servicing and maintenance procedures.

6.2 Excess Crop Build Up

Remove crop residue from deck and engine to prevent overheating and fire hazards. Disconnect spark plug.

6.3 Visual Check

Inspect mower for loose, missing, or damaged components. Repair or replace all identified faults.

6.4 Tyre Pressures

Regularly check tyre inflation pressures and ensure they do not exceed recommended limits.

6.5 Rotor Bearing Inspection

Rotate rotor shaft by hand, checking for roughness and play. Inspect bearings if abnormalities are found.

6.6 Wheel Bearing Inspection

Lift wheel, check alignment and play. Inspect bearings if any looseness is detected.

6.7 Oil 50 mm Coupling;Bush Wear

Examine coupling for wear or damage. Check bushes for wear and replace if necessary.

6.8 General Inspection

Verify fastener tightness, guard and chain integrity. Ensure all safety decals are present and legible.

6.9 Rotor Flail Maintenance

Replace damaged hammers promptly to maintain balance. Check opposite hammers for wear and replace as needed.
