Disposal instructions
General information
Follow the legal regulations for disposal of elec-
trical/electronic devices and the vehicle that are
applicable in your country, as well as the infor-
mation that follows.
Handling batteries that contain lithium (Li) re-
quires special care. For example, they must not
be overheated or damaged. Battery components
can be harmful to human and animal health and
can accumulate in the environment. To reduce
this risk, follow the legal regulations for disposal
of batteries that are applicable in your country.
Certain components in your vehicle such as unde-
ployed airbag modules, pretensioners and re-
mote control batteries may contain Perchlorate
Material - special handling may apply, See www.
dtsc.ca.gov/hazardouswaste/perchlorate. When
the vehicle or parts of the restraint system in-
cluding airbag modules and safety belts with pre-
tensioners are scrapped, all applicable laws and
regulations must be observed. Your authorized
Audi dealer is familiar with these requirements
and we recommend that you have your dealer
perform this service for you.
