Adjusting the display
and the warning tones
Appl ies to : vehicles with parkin g system plus/rearv iew cam-
era/peripheral cam era
The display and warning tones can be adjusted in
the Infotainment.

Select: the ICARI function button > (Car)* Sys-
tems
control button > Driver assistance > Park-
ing aid .
Display
On* -
an optical display is shown for t he par king
system plus, a rearview camera image is shown
for the rearview camera *.
Off - when the parking system is switche d off,
only audib le signals are given.
Signal tones
Front volume -
volume for the front area
Rear volume - volume for the rear area
Front frequency - frequency for t he front area
Rear frequency - freq uency for the rear area
Music volume during nav. prompts - the volume
of t he audio/video source is lowered when t he
parking system is turned on
The new value is given briefly during the adjust-
ment.
(D Tips
- The warning tones can also be adjusted di-
rectly by the visual disp lay or the pictu re
from the camera. Simply press the
Settings
contro l button.
- Changed set tings are activated when the
parking system is swit ched on aga in.
- The settings for volume and frequency are
automat ically saved and ass igned to the re-
mot e control key be ing used.
Error messages
Applies to: vehicles with parkin g system plus/rearview cam-
era/per ipheral camera
There is an erro r in the system if the LED in the
Pw, button is blinking and you hear a continuous
Parking systems
alarm for a few seconds after switch ing on the
parking system or when the parking system is al-
ready activated. If the erro r is not corrected be-
fore you switch off the ignition, the
LED in the Pw,
button will blink the next time you switch on the
parking system by shifting into reverse.
Parking system plus*
If a senso r is faulty, the~ symbol will appear in
front of/beh ind the vehicle in the Infotainment
display. If a rear sensor is faulty, only obstacles
t hat are in areas @ and @ are shown
<=> page 108, fig. 114 . If a front se nsor is faulty,
only obst acles t hat are in areas © and @ are
shown. There is also a syst em ma lfunction if all
segments arou nd the vehicle are red or if no seg-
me nts are displayed.
Peripheral cameras*
There is a system malfu nction if t he 00• symbol
appea rs and the corresponding disp lay area is
shown in blue. The camera is not working in t his
area.
Drive to an authorized Audi dealer or authorized
Audi Service Facility immed iate ly to have the
malfu nction corrected.
Trailer hitch
Appli es to: vehicles wit h parking system pl us/rea rview cam -
era/peri pheral cameras and t railer hitc h
When the trailer socket is in use, the parking sys-
tem rear sensors are not act ivated when you sh ift
into reverse gear or when you press t he
p,,1A but-
ton. This results in the following rest rictions.
Parking system plus*
There is no distance warning for the rear. The
front senso rs remain activated. The visua l disp lay
switches to trailer mode.
Rearview camera*/peripheral cameras*
There is no distance warning for the rea r. The
front senso rs remain activated . The visua l display
switches to trailer mode. The rearview came ra
image will not show the orientation lines and t he
blue surfaces. .,..
