9 Exploded view - brake servo / brake

Note

Brake master cylinders can no longer be dismantled, i.e. there
is no provision for servicing.
♦
Use only new brake fluid. Observe information on brake fluid
reservoir!
1 - Brake fluid reservoir
❑ Do not remove strainer
from brake fluid reser‐
voir
2 - Filler cap with seal
3 - Trunnion bolt, 10 Nm
4 - Pipe to master cylinder
5 - Tandem brake servo
❑ Adjusting ball head

❑ Function test: With the
engine turned off, firmly
depress the brake pedal
several times (this re‐
duces the vacuum
present in the servo
unit).
❑ Then hold brake pedal
in applied position em‐
ploying moderate force
and start engine. If the
servo unit is working
properly, the pedal will
give slightly under foot
(servo assistance be‐
comes activated).
❑ With bonded gasket
❑ Renew complete unit if
defective.
❑ Removing and installing
