Call By Name
1. Press the TALK button. A beep will sound.
2. Say "Call” <Name from directory> (e.g., "Call
John Smith").
3. To confirm the request, say "Yes”. The number
will be dialed.
4. To end a call, press the left thumbwheel on the
steering wheel.

contact, the system will ask which number you
wish to dial. When calling by name using Voice
Recognition, you must say the name as it is stored
in your phone book.

Setting a Destination
1. Press the TALK button on the steering wheel.
2. Say "Enter address.” (Other commands are
available on screen. See Owner's Manual for
complete list of commands.)
3. After the beep, speak the address; for example
"2024 Main St, Los Angeles, California.” (Speak
street numbers as single digits.) The system
will respond with repeating the address for
confirmation.

4. System will respond, “The list is being loaded,” it
will repeat the address and then ask if you would
like to start route guidance; after the beep say
"Yes” and guidance will begin.
► There are three options to cancel Voice
Recognition:
► Simply say "Cancel" at the voice prompt.
► Press any button on the MMI controls.
► Or, press and hold the TALK button until you
hear "Cancel".
Refer to your Owner's Manual for additional Voice Recognition
commands.
Individual Speech Training
1. Press the MENU function button to open the MMI
menu.
2. Select Setup MMI control button.
3. Select Voice recognition.
4. Select Individual speech training.
5. Select Start speech training.

► Direct your full attention to driving. As the driver, you have complete responsibility for safety in traffic. Only use the functions in such a way that you
always maintain complete control over your vehicle in all traffic situations.
► Do not use the Voice Recognition system in emergencies because your voice may change in stressful situations. It may take longer to dial the number or
the system may not be able to dial it at all. Dial the emergency number manually.
