What to do if AVANT Compact Loader engine cranks but won't start?
- JJoseph MendozaAug 9, 2025
If your AVANT Compact Loader's engine cranks but doesn't start or stalls immediately, several factors could be at play. First, ensure you're using the correct fuel type and that the tank isn't empty. Also, verify the fuel hoses and fuel filter are clean and not blocked. Replace the fuel filter and clean the fuel lines if necessary. In cold weather, hold the ignition key in the glow position longer, letting the glow indicator lamp turn off before starting, and extend starting time to 5 seconds. Confirm the auxiliary hydraulics control lever is in the center (neutral) position and that you are using the correct type of engine oil. If the battery is discharged, jump start it with another battery, then charge or replace it if damaged.
