ADVANCEDPREPARATION
•
Decideonthelocationoftheventingpipefromthehoodtotheoutside.
•
Astraight,shortventrunwillallowthehoodtoperformmoreefficiently.Trytoavoidasmanytransitions,
elbowsandlongrunsaspossible.Thismayreducethehood’sperformance.
•
Useducttapetosealjointsbetweenpipesections.
•
Forinstallingunderthecabinetwithrecessedbottom,attach4’’widewoodfillerstrips(notprovided)on
eachside.SeeFigure1.
•
Usingreferencesinmeasurementsandinstallationdiagrams(seepages21and22),createaccessopening
forelectricalwiresandhoodexhaustunderthecabinet.
CAUTION:Ifmovingthe cooking rangeto install the hood, turn OFF the power at the mainelectrical box.

Puncturetheknockoutholes(formountingunderthecabinet)onthehoodasshowninFigure2.

Ifnecessary,attachtworubberstandswithadhesivetapestothebackcornersofthehood.
