What causes repeated failures on Avid Technology VENUE S6L Recording Equipment?
    • S
      scottcaitlinDec 1, 2025
Repeated failures on your Avid Technology Recording Equipment can be caused by an incompatible plug-in, a corrupted data file or application software, or a hardware error. Check to make sure you are using the most current versions of all your plug-ins. If failures occur only when you try to use a certain plug-in, disable that plug-in and see if problems go away. Try re-installing plug-ins that are causing problems. Determine if a certain Show file causes the system to fail consistently. If so, delete that file and see if problems persist. Clear the console from the Options > System page and see if problems persist. If necessary, you can reinstall VENUE software by doing a System Update. If you suspect problems with the system hard drive, or the system software, you can do a complete restor...

What to do if Stage I/O is not passing audio on Avid Technology Recording Equipment?
    • T
      Tiffany BurgessAug 23, 2025
If the Stage I/O on your Avid Technology Recording Equipment isn't passing audio, the stage unit may need to be reset. See Resetting Hardware Components, or power-cycle the Stage 64. Alternatively, there might be a bad or missing connection to the E6L engine, another Stage unit, or to power. Check the audio network cable connecting the Stage unit to the E6L engine (or, if daisy-chained, to the nearest Stage unit) to ensure it's properly connected and undamaged. Also, verify the Stage unit has power.

Why are one or more plug-ins unavailable on my Avid Technology Recording Equipment?
    • C
      chelseasloanAug 26, 2025
One or more plug-ins may be unavailable on your Avid Technology Recording Equipment because a Show was loaded that references plug-ins which are unavailable on the current system. Install the plug-ins, if available, or remove or replace the plug-ins in the Show, or load a different Show file. Also, a plug-in might not be fully compatible and is causing failures. Check all plug-ins to ensure you are using the most recent versions. Go to Options > Plug-Ins and Click the plug-in to display the version number. Try disabling plug-ins one-by-one to see if doing so eliminates problems.

How to fix a previously connected device that is unavailable on Avid Technology VENUE S6L?
    • S
      Stephanie JohnsonAug 27, 2025
If a previously connected device is unavailable and grayed out on your Avid Technology Recording Equipment, it could be because the device is no longer present. Touch-and-hold (right-click) the device graphic in the Options > Devices page and choose Forget to dismiss warning dialogs. Another reason might be a bad or missing connection to the E6L engine. Check to make sure the cable connecting the device is properly connected and not damaged, and that the device is powered on.

If you're seeing warning dialogs that one or more devices have failed on your Avid Technology Recording Equipment, it could be due to a bad or missing connection. Check connections to other components. Another potential cause is that a device needs to be reset. Try resetting the device, and if that doesn't work, power cycle the device.
