      If you're experiencing a 'no video' issue with your Avocent Switch, make sure the video cable between the computer and the SwitchView is connected to the selected port and that the monitor cable is correctly connected to the SwitchView. Try powering down the computer, connecting the monitor directly to it, and powering it up again. If the monitor still doesn't work, test with another monitor. Also, verify that the cables from the computer to the SwitchView are connected properly.

      If your mouse isn't working on some channels of your Avocent Switch, try the mouse reset command: MR or MW, depending on your mouse type. Ensure the mouse is plugged into the correct port on the User Console area on the rear panel. Verify the computer works properly with a mouse connected directly. If not, try another mouse. If using a serial mouse, make sure you're using an Avocent Serial Mouse adapter.

      If your keyboard isn't working on certain channels of your Avocent Switch, check that the cables from the PC to the SwitchView are properly connected and that the keyboard is plugged into the keyboard port in the User Console area on the rear panel. Verify the keyboard works correctly when directly connected to the computer; if not, try a different keyboard. If the keyboard still doesn't function, cycle power on all attached computers and try again.
