Why is my Awoco Ventilation Hood not venting out properly?
    • T
      turnerjulieJul 27, 2025
Several factors can affect the venting performance of your Awoco Ventilation Hood. Ensure the distance between the stove top and the hood's bottom is within the recommended 24” to 30”. Reduce the number of elbows and the length of duct work, and verify that all joints are properly connected, taped, and sealed. For heavy cooking, make sure the power is set to high speed.

What to do if my Awoco RH-BQ Ventilation Hood blower or fan seems weak?
    • A
      amanda98Aug 1, 2025
If the blower or fan in your Awoco Ventilation Hood appears weak, check that the duct size used is the required 6” or 8” per the blower unit's vent size, ensuring there are no sections with smaller sizes between the hood and the Roof/Wall Cap. Also, inspect the duct for clogs and ensure the damper (half-circular flapper) is correctly installed and opening properly. A tight mesh on a side wall cap might also restrict airflow.

If your Awoco Ventilation Hood makes a squeaking noise while running, it could be due to the blower fan wheel being offset and touching the casing, or the fan could be unbalanced. Follow the instructions in the manual to adjust the fan wheel.
