AXISPeopleCounterisananalyticapplicationthatyoucaninstallonanetworkcamera.Youcanusetheapplicationtocounthow
manypeoplepassthroughanentrance,inwhatdirectiontheypass,andifmorethanonepersonpassesduringapredenedinterval.
Youcanalsouseittoestimatehowmanypeoplearecurrentlyoccupyinganarea,andtheaveragevisitingtime.
Theapplicationrunsembeddedinthecamerawhichmeansyoudon’tneedadedicatedcomputertoruntheapplication.
AXISPeopleCounterissuitableforanyindoorenvironment,likestores,libraries,orgyms.
Howdoesestimatingoccupancywork?
Youcanusetheapplicationtoestimateoccupancyinareaswithoneorseveralentrancesandexits.Eachentranceandexitneedstobe
equippedwithanetworkcamerawithAXISPeopleCounterinstalled.Ifthereareseveralcameras,theycommunicatewitheachother
overthenetworkinaprimaryandsecondaryconcept.Theprimarycameracontinuouslyfetchesdatafromthesecondarycamerasand
presentsthedataintheliveview.Everyfteenminutes,theprimarycamerasendsthestatisticaldatatoAXISStoreDataManager.
Consequently,thereportsgeneratedfromAXISStoreDataManagercanpresentthedatainaminimumof15minutestimeinterval.

AXISScreamDetection
AXISScreamDetectionisanapplicationthattriggersaneventifascreamisdetected.Thegeneratedeventcanbeused,for
example,torecordavideooralertsecuritystaff.
Beforeusingtheapplication,considerthefollowing:
•Theapplicationismainlyintendedfordetectingscreamsinagenerallyquietenvironment.Thedifferencebetweenthe
backgroundsoundlevelandthescreammustbeatleast15-20dBfortheapplicationtofunctioneffectively.Consider
theproximitytotheexpectedsoundsource,thebackgroundnoiselevelandtheaudioinputgainlevelwheninstalling
theproduct.
•Adjusttheaudioinputgaintoalevelwherethebackgroundnoisecoversapproximately30-50%oftheapplication’saudio
levelgraph.ToaccesstheInputgainsetting,clicktheAudioSettingslinkontheapplicationpage.
•Iftheintervalbetweenscreamsislessthan3seconds,theapplicationregardsitasonescream.
AXISBlockedViewDetection
AXISBlockedViewDetectionisanapplicationthattriggersanalarmiftamperingofthecameraisdetected,forexample,ifthe
lensiscoveredorsprayed.
Foroptimalperformance,werecommendthatthecameraviewcontainsobjects,patternsorlinesthatcanbedetected.
