AdjustFocus
Toadjustthezoomandfocusfollowtheseinstructions:
Note
SetthefocusaspreciseaspossiblewiththefocuspullerorFocusAssistantbeforestartingautomaticnetuning.Usingthe
focuspullernormallygivesthebestresult.
Theirisshouldalwaysbeopenedtoitsmaximumwhilefocusing.Thisgivesthesmallestdepthofeldandthusthe
bestconditionsforcorrectfocusing.
1.Opentheproduct’shomepageandgotoSetup>BasicSetup>Focus.
2.UndertheBasictab,clickOpeniris.Ifthebuttonisinactivetheirisisalreadyopen.
3.Iffocushasbeensetbefore,clickResettoresetthebackfocus.
4.Loosenthezoomandfocuspullers(seeHardwareOverviewonpage7)onthelensbyturningthemcounter-clockwise.
Movethepullerstosetzoomandfocusandcheckthequalityoftheimageintheimagewindow.
Ifthecameraismountedsothatonecannotlookattheimageandmovethepullersatthesametime,usetheFocus
Assistantinstead.SeeFocusAssistantonpage20.
5.Loosenthezoompullerandthelockscrewforthefocusring(seeHardwareOverviewonpage7)onthelensbyturning
themcounter-clockwise.Movethezoompullerandthefocusringtosetzoomandfocusandcheckthequalityof
theimageintheimagewindow.
Ifthecameraismountedsothatyoucannotlookattheimageandmovethezoompullerandthefocusringatthesame
time,usetheFocusAssistantinstead.SeeFocusAssistantonpage20.
6.Re-tightenthezoomandfocuspullers.
