TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtoautomaticallyformatSDcardsthatareinsertedintotheproduct.Ifautoformatisenabledand
anSDcardisinserted,theproductwillcheckiftheSDcardhastheext4lesystem.Ifthecardhasadifferentlesystem,the
cardwillautomaticallybeformattedtoext4.
Important
Ifautoformatisenabled,onlyuseneworemptySDcards.Anydatastoredonthecardwillbelostwhenthecardisinserted
intotheAxisproduct.
Toenableautomaticformatting,followthesesteps:
1.OpentheAxisproduct’swebpagesandgotoSetup>SystemOptions>Storage.
2.ClickSDCard.
3.UnderGeneralSettings,selectAutoformatto.
4.ClickOKtosavesettings.
AnSDcardinsertedintotheproductcanbemanuallyformattedtooneofthesupportedlesystems.Tomanuallyformatthe
SDcard,followthesesteps:
1.InserttheSDcardintheSDcardslot.
2.OpentheAxisproduct’swebpagesandgotoSetup>SystemOptions>Storage.
3.ClickSDCard.
4.ClickFormatandselectthedesiredlesystem.
5.ClickOKtostartformattingthecard.
NetworkShare
NetworkshareallowsyoutoaddnetworkstoragesuchasaNAS(network-attachedstorage).TheNASshallbededicatedfor
recordingsanddatafromtheAxisproductsconnectedtothenetwork.ForinformationaboutreferenceNASdevices,goto

Toavoidllingtheshare,itisrecommendedtoremoverecordingscontinuously.UnderRecordingSettings,selectRemoverecordings
olderthanandselectthenumberofdaysorweeks.
Tostopwritingtotheshareandprotectrecordingsfrombeingremoved,selectLockunderRecordingSettings.
