Controls

AdvancedPTZsettingscanbeconguredunderPTZ>Advanced>Controls.

ThePanelShortcutCommandButtonslistshowstheuser-denedbuttonsthatcanbeaccessedfromtheLiveViewpage’sCtrl

panel.ThesebuttonscanbeusedtoprovidedirectaccesstocommandsissuedusingtheVAPIX®applicationprogramminginterface.

ClickAddtoaddanewshortcutcommandbutton.

ThefollowingPTZcontrolsareenabledbydefault:

•Pancontrol

•Tiltcontrol

•Zoomcontrol

Todisablespeciccontrols,deselecttheoptionsunderEnable/Disablecontrols.

Ifusingmultipleviewareas,deselectingacontrolwillonlydisablethecontrolintheselectedviewarea.

Note

DisablingPTZcontrolswillnotaffectpresetpositions.Forexample,ifthetiltcontrolisdisabled,theproductcanstillmoveto

presetpositionsthatrequireatiltmovement.

ControlQueue

Note

•TheadministratorcanenableanddisablePTZcontrolsforselectedusers.

•Toidentifydifferentusersintheviewergroup,cookiesmustbeenabledontheclient.

•TheControlqueuepolltimeismeasuredinseconds.Formoreinformationseetheonlinehelp.

TheadministratorcansetupaqueueforPTZcontrollersfromPTZ>ControlQueue.Oncesetup,thePTZControlQueuebuttons

appearintheLiveViewpageofferingoneviewerexclusivecontrolforalimitedperiodoftime.Otheruserswillbeplacedinqueue.

Auserwhobelongstoagroup(seeUsersonpage50)withahigherPTZprioritycangobeforeotherusersinthequeueandtake

controloftheproduct.Theorderofpriorityisasfollows:

1.Administrator—AnadministratortakesoverPTZcontrolregardlessofwhoisrstinqueue.Theadministratorwillbe

removedfromthequeue60secondsafterthelastPTZcontrolcommand.

2.Event—TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtogotoapresetpositionwhentriggeredbyanalarm(seeEventsonpage42).

Theeventwillimmediatelybeplacedrstinthequeueexceptwhenanadministratorisincontrol.
