ThisexampleexplainshowtosetupthecameratostartrecordingtotheSDcardwhenthecameradetectsanobject.Therecording

willincludevesecondsbeforedetectionandoneminuteafterdetectionends.

Beforeyoustart:

•MakesureyouhaveanSDcardinstalled.

MakesurethatAXISObjectAnalyticsisrunning:

1.GotoApps>AXISObjectAnalytics.

2.Starttheapplicationifitisnotalreadyrunning.

3.Makesureyouhavesetuptheapplicationaccordingtoyourneeds.

Createarule:

1.GotoSystem>Eventsandaddarule.

2.Typeanamefortherule.

3.Inthelistofconditions,underApplication,selectObjectAnalytics.

4.Inthelistofactions,underRecordings,selectRecordvideowhiletheruleisactive.

5.Inthelistofstorageoptions,selectSD_DISK.

6.Selectacameraandastreamprole.

7.Settheprebuffertimeto5seconds.

8.Setthepostbuffertimeto1minute.

9.ClickSave.

Providevisualindicationofanongoingevent

YouhavetheoptiontoconnecttheAXISI/OIndicationLEDtoyournetworkcamera.ThisLEDcanbeconguredtoturnonwhenever

certaineventsoccurinthecamera.Forexample,toletpeopleknowthatvideorecordingisinprogress.

•AXISI/OIndicationLED

•AnAxisnetworkvideocamera

ThefollowingexampleshowshowtocongurearulethatturnsontheAXISI/OIndicationLEDtoindicatethatcameraisrecording.

1.GotoSystem>Accessories>I/Oports.

2.FortheportthatyouconnectedtheAXISI/OIndicationLEDto,click

tosetthedirectiontoOutput,andclick

tosetthenormalstatetoCircuitopen.

3.GotoSystem>Events.

4.Createanewrule.
