7. BATTERIES AND MAINTENANCE
The lock uses a 9V Lithium battery. This battery is included in the
product case and can last for several months depending on usage.
WARNING: NEVER USE conventional 9V alkaline batteries or re-
chargeable batteries.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that the 9V battery is Lithium and has the
same size as the original one to guarantee a correct contact with the
lock terminals.
It is recommended to use the specific battery for int-LOCK distributed
by AYR to avoid possible damages or a considerable reduction of the
autonomy of the system.
It is also recommended to use the lithium batteries in the RF remote
control, already included in the case. These can have an approxi-
mate autonomy of about 9 months depending on the intensive use
applied to it.
Both the 9V lithium battery for the lock and the remote control are

NOTE: Both system memory and controller memory will NOT be lost
during battery replacement.
